CITY OF MENOMINEE, MICHIGAN
SPECIAL COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS
SEPTEMBER 1, 2006
A special meeting of the Menominee City Council,
City of Menominee, County of Menominee, State of Michigan, was held Friday,
September 1, 2006 at 9:30 a.m. in the Municipal Complex Council Chambers.
The Honorable George W. Krah called the meeting to
order and led the pledge of allegiance to the flag.
PRESENT: Council Members Fernstrum, Hudon, Mick,
Organ, Pintarelli, Schloegel and Sorensen
Mayor Krah
ABSENT: Council Member Jasper (excused)
PRESENT: 8 ABSENT: 1
A motion was made by Council Member Fernstrum and
seconded by Council Member Hudon to excused Council Member Jasper from the
meeting. This motion was carried
unanimously.
Mayor
Krah opened the special meeting that he called for the purpose of considering
the following agenda:
1) Pledge
of allegiance to the flag.
2)
Public comment.
3)
The Special
Projects/Community Relations Committee on the CGI Communications, Inc.
community promotion campaign.
4) Adjourn.
PUBLIC
COMMENT:
Mayor Krah opened the public comment session that
was called for the purpose of hearing citizen comments on agenda items only.
No one was heard.
A motion was made by Council Member Fernstrum and
seconded by Council Member Mick to close the public comment session. This
motion was carried unanimously.
COMMITTEE REPORT:
The Special Projects/Community Relations Committee
reported that they had reviewed the CGI Communications, Inc. opportunity for a
community promotion campaign and they recommended that city council approve
proceeding with the project and that the city manager be authorized to finalize
the details.

A motion was made by Council Member Fernstrum and
seconded by Council Member Mick to adopt the foregoing report.
AYES: Krah,
Mick, Schloegel, Sorensen, and Fernstrum
NAYS: Organ,
Pintarelli, and Hudon
This motion was carried.
ADJOURN:
A motion was made by Council Member Mick and
seconded by Council Member Sorensen to adjourn the meeting. This motion was carried unanimously.
