CITY OF MENOMINEE, MICHIGAN
SPECIAL COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS
JULY 7, 2006
A special meeting of the Menominee City Council,
City of Menominee, County of Menominee, State of Michigan, was held Friday,
July 7, 2006 at 8:30 a.m. in the Municipal Complex Council Chambers.
The Honorable George W. Krah called the meeting to
order and led the pledge of allegiance to the flag.
PRESENT: Council Members Fernstrum, Hudon, Jasper,
Mick, Organ, Pintarelli, Schloegel and Sorensen

Mayor
Krah opened the special meeting that he called for the purpose of considering
the following agenda:
1) Pledge
of allegiance to the flag.
2)
Public comment.
3)
Motion to accept the
audit proposal submitted by Kerber, Rose and Associates.
4)
The Parks and
Recreation/Buildings and Grounds Committee on authorizing funds to complete the
East side baseball press box at Spies Field.
5) Adjourn.
PUBLIC
COMMENT:
Mayor Krah opened the public comment session that
was called for the purpose of hearing citizen comments on agenda items only.
No one was heard.
A motion was made by Council Member Mick and
seconded by Council Member Fernstrum to close the public comment session. This motion was carried unanimously.
A
motion was made by Council Member Sorensen and seconded by Council Member Hudon
to accept the audit proposal submitted by Kerber, Rose and Associates in the
amount of $27,000 for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2006, $27,750 for the
fiscal year ending June 30, 2007, and $28,500 for the fiscal year ending June
30, 2008. This motion was carried
unanimously.
COMMITTEE REPORT:
The Parks and Recreation/Buildings and Grounds
Committee reported that they had reviewed the Spies Field project and they
recommended authorizing up to $5,000 for completion of the East side baseball
press box due to the timing of the district tournament on July 20, 2006.

motion was made by Council Member Hudon and seconded by Council Member Mick to
adopt the foregoing report.
AYES: Hudon, Jasper, Krah, Mick, Organ, Pintarelli,
Sorensen, and Fernstrum
NAYS: Schloegel
This
motion was carried.
Council
Member Hudon said that a $7,000 check from the Kiwanis for the press box was
presented to the Mayor and City.
ADJOURN:
A motion was made by Council Member Mick and
seconded by Council Member Jasper to adjourn the meeting. This motion was carried unanimously.
