SPECIAL COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS
APRIL 22, 2006
A special meeting of the Menominee City Council,
City of Menominee, County of Menominee, State of Michigan, was held Saturday, April
22, 2006 at 7:30 a.m. in the Municipal Complex Council Chambers.
The Honorable George W. Krah called the meeting to
order and led the pledge of allegiance to the flag.
PRESENT: Council Members Fernstrum, Hudon, Jasper,
Mick, Organ, Pintarelli, Schloegel and Sorensen

Krah opened the special meeting that he called for the purpose of considering
the following agenda:
1) Pledge
of allegiance to the flag.
2)
Public comment.
3)
Confer with Bill
Richards.
4)
Interviews for City Manager.
5)
Break for lunch.
6)
Interviews for City
Manager.
7)
Discussion and
deliberations regarding selection of City Manager.
8) Adjourn.
PUBLIC
COMMENT:
Mayor Krah opened the public comment session that
was called for the purpose of hearing citizen comments on agenda items only.
No one was heard.
A motion was made by Council Member Sorensen and
seconded by Council Member Organ to close the public comment session. This motion was carried unanimously.
Council conferred with Bill Richards from the
Michigan Municipal League regarding the City Manager interview process. Mr. Richards said four interviews were schedule

The following candidates for City Manager were
interviewed:

A motion was made by Council Member Mick and
seconded by Council Member Hudon to authorize the City Attorney to extend a
conditional offer of employment to Glenn Anderson for the City Manager position
provided he passes a background investigation, he passes a pre-employment
physical, and terms and conditions of employment are agreed to.
AYES: Sorensen,
Fernstrum, Hudon, Jasper, Krah, Mick, Organ, Pintarelli, and Schloegel
NAYS: None
This motion was carried unanimously.
Mayor Krah thanked Mr. Richards for his assistance
in the City Manager hiring process.
ADJOURN:
A motion was made by Council Member Hudon and
seconded by Council Member Mick to adjourn the meeting. This motion was carried unanimously.
